
Dr. H. Jung Song

Dr. H. Jung Song attended the University of California San Diego for undergraduate studies and continued her dental education at the University of Washington Dental School receiving her DDS in 2001. She then completed a three-year periodontics and implant specialty program and a one year oral medicine fellowship at the University of Washington. She received a certificate in orofacial pain from the University of Southern California.
Dr Song is a board-certified periodontist who specializes in periodontics and implants.
She is an Affiliate Associate Professor at the University of Washington, Department of Periodontics in the School of Dentistry and has been a staff periodontist at the Seattle Children’s Hospital since 2012. She has served as an implant program director at the Swedish Dental Residency Program and has taught at the Center of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Song served as a commissioner for the Dental Quality Assurance Commission appointed by former Governor Christine Gregoire. She is a past president of the Washington State Society of Periodontists.
Professional memberships include the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Associations, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Academy of Dental Boards, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Song loves to volunteer her time at the Seattle King County Dental Clinics. In the past, she has spent time in Jamaica, Kenya, Haiti, and Bolivia, helping others in need.
Dr. Song and her husband have three teenagers, two middle aged Chihuahuas and a teenage cat. When not working, you will find the family in the waters of Puget Sound or the snow in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
