Darrin A. Rapoport, BDS, MSD
Dr. Rapoport attended the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and after graduating in 1990, practiced general dentistry for 6 years. In 1996, Darrin and his wife Pam relocated to Seattle where he received his Masters of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington and completed 3 years of highly specialized periodontal and implant training.
Dr. Rapoport is licensed to practice in Washington State and internationally, in South Africa, the United Kingdom and Australia. He is a board certified Periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the highest honor awarded in his field. He is an active member of multiple organizations including the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the Washington State Society of Periodontists, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Academy of Osseointegration. In addition, he regularly lectures at national and international events and has been published multiple times.
In 2001 Dr. Rapoport joined Pacific Northwest Periodontics and purchased the practice two years later. He and his team are committed to providing exceptional periodontal and implant dentistry care.
Dr. Rapoport is regarded as a local dental expert, contributing to several KOMO NewsradioLifebeat segments and appearing on KOMO 4, KING 5’s Health Link, and KCPQ 13. He has also been featured in South Sound Magazine’s Doctors Making A Difference edition and been recognized as a Top Periodontist four years in a row by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.

Ralf F. Schuler, DR, MED, DENT, MSD
Dr. Schuler is an Affiliate Associate Professor at the UW andhas been lecturing national and internationally including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico and Canada
Dr. Schuler graduated in 1991 with his dental degree from the University of Erlangen in Nuremberg, Germany. Following graduation, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Prosthodontics department at the University of Cologne. After successfully defending his Dr. Med. Dent. thesis, Dr. Schuler left academia to practice general restorative dentistry in Erlangen. In 2000, he relocated to Seattle and began 3 years of highly specialized periodontal and implant training at the University of Washington. After graduation, Dr. Schuler was selected to be an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Graduate Periodontics at the University of Washington.
Dr. Schuler is licensed to practice in Washington State and Germany. He is a board certified Periodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, the highest honor awarded in his field. Dr. Schuler has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and is currently lecturing at national and international events. He is an active member of several dental organizations including the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the Washington State Society of Periodontists, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Ashwin B. Nambisan
Dr. Ashwin B. Nambisan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (India), followed by a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from Loma Linda University. He then designed and managed dental implant and periodontal clinical trials for Zimmer Dental. Dr. Nambisan then went on to the Postgraduate Periodontics Program at Rutgers University, School of Dental Medicine (New Jersey) where he was awarded his Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontics.
Dr. Nambisan is licensed in Washington State and is an active member of organizations including the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association, the Washington State Society of Periodontists, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Western Society of Periodontology and the American Dental Association. Dr. Nambisan has done presentations at conferences held by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Metropolitan Forum (Tri-school event- Periodontics departments of New York University, Rutgers University and Columbia University), and the Academy of Osseointegration.
