Gum GraftingA gum graft is used to repair and replace missing gum tissue. Gum grafts are necessary for a variety of reasons, but the most common is root exposure due to recession. The main goals of soft tissue grafting are either to cover the exposed root or to thicken the existing gum tissue in order to halt further tissue loss.
